#9 Let it be

Genesis Chapter 2 1-3

The Seventh day, it is quite easy to skip quickly over this day, to be frank nothing happens, that we are told. GOD finished creation, finished the work, and set apart the day and did not create anything else, then he blessed the day. Did GOD take this time to enjoy everything he had made? Dunno. Did GOD spend time with the Man and Woman, with the sons of God? Again dunno. Although from a personal perspective I take great joy at times sitting back and watching my kids and Grandkids interact. I do not know what GOD did on that specific day, but what I do know is that it was important. Sometimes we just need to stop what we’re doing and be, be with GOD, be with our kids, be with our spouse, our friends, not in the doing, working or creating, just in the being. Another word picture for this would be in cultivating relationships by being together.

Take away – Stop the doing and concentrate on the relationships there is a time and a place and a day for that, one was specially set aside, but it can be any day it just needs to “be” done.

Next – the house and home gag, I did not forget, I just needed to be.
