Authority

Great responsibility

Adam and the Woman were given great authority over everything concerning planet earth, under GOD. Lucifer was given great authority; he was the anointed covering (guardian) Cherub under GOD's authority. In the old testament the people who received anointing were usually the High Priests, Kings and Prophets. These were to be the leaders for those who would follow them and their example. Is it not right that those of high authority should be proven, that they are worthy of such a great responsibility? Lucifer's thoughts are laid bare in the book of Isaiah 14:13 For you said to yourself, ‘I will ascend to heaven and set my throne above God’s stars. I will preside on the mountain of the gods far away in the north. The woman's motive - Genesis 3:6 The woman was convinced. How lovely and fresh looking it was! (the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil) and it would make her so wise! (Like GOD) So she ate some of the fruit and gave some to her husband, and he ate it too. The man's motive is a little harder to understand. He was obviously angry with the woman and wanted to make her the cause, but ultimately blaming GOD for what had happened. The man replied, “It was the woman you gave me who gave me the fruit, and I ate it.” Genesis 3:12 No matter how you slice it Sin was introduced into the world, and death would be inherited by all those who would come from the Man, the eventual separation of the body and soul, culminating in the final separation of the soul from GOD. In heaven it caused a subversive movement among the sons of god, those who would side with Lucifer's ideas. A covert war would begin, first in supposed secrecy and being finally exposed publicly, with Jesus’ death on the cross and his resurrection. Colossians 2:15
