A Prayer Life Like David's?

Here I go, off on a short tangent.....

monogenēs - Greek word meaning One of a kind, Mono - one, genēs - kind

Question – How many sons, by natural birth, did Abraham have?

Answer – 2 of course

(I would like to correct this by adding that after Sarah died, and some time after Isaac had been married Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah and she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. These sons did not have the same standing as Isaac or Ishmael)

Isaac was the son born out of the promise, out of time, from both Abraham and Sarah, whos’ bodies were considered long past being able to bear children.

Therefore, Isaac is monogenēs, he is one of a kind. Abraham still had another son of this there can be doubt. (by the way he is greatly loved too!, don't miss that, overlook it or forget it, period.)

Jesus was not the only son of God, we see the others mentioned throughout the text, but Jesus was, is, and forever will be monogenēs.

He is without a shadow of a doubt, One of a Kind.
