A Prayer Life Like David's?

The Rainbow connection

 The Rainbow connection

Genesis Chp 9

I apologize I am off on a tangent, here we go. If your old enough to remember, a puppet frog that sang eloquently about a ‘rainbow connection’. The rainbow has been used in many varying ways over the years by individuals and people groups.  God spoke first about using a rainbow connection, I am not saying anyone can not use this symbol, that is not the point I am making, but God used it first. The Connection is when God sees the bow and we see it, it is a reminder of a promise. A promise to choose life over punishment and death and to choose mercy and not judgement. God will hold man to a higher stander, that was not naturally done by people before the flood, but it should have been. We are not to kill each other, period. Animals are not allowed to either, but at that time they could still be used as sacrifice and food, why? It is a reminder of what was lost, the ability of the soil and earth to provide for us and the curse that was placed on it because of Adam.  Why does God say whoever sheds the blood of another person (killing), by another person shall the murderer have their blood shed. There are consequences for a person actions and we are God’s imagers; we need to be held to a higher standard. In conclusion, this Rainbow connection is about choosing love (agape - choosing to love), loving God and his imagers, putting them first above oneself and selfish desires. It is not about me and mine it is all about Love and other people. The time has come, make the connection.

Next – I’ll get back on track 😉 (You are not making any sense)
