Not so Renowned?
Psalm 9
4 For you have maintained my just cause;
you have sat on the throne, giving righteous judgment.
5 You have rebuked the nations; you have made the wicked perish; you have blotted out their name forever and ever.
6 The enemy came to an end in everlasting ruins; their cities you rooted out; the very memory of them has perished.
We have alot of descriptors, the old serpent, the satan (not a name), the devil (not a name), the dragon, lucifer (not a name).
The Nephilim in verse 6, who gave birth to the might men, men of renown. Names for either them or the Nephilim. Names?
History has a list of alot of infamous names, but the ones pulling the strings and directing the rebellion are not quite so well known.
"you have blotted out their name forever and ever."
There is a name that ever knee will bow down to in heaven and on the earth.
Phil 2:10 thats Jesus!
There is also a name we may never know, but only by his descriptors.
Your fading away Mr. devil, tic toc.
My prayer is you get to know the one who cares for the victims and chooses to blot out the name of the guilty. Their names will not be remembered, but ours are engraved on the psalms of his hands. Isaiah 49:16
