He Who Laughs Last...

ALONE?

ALONE?

Psalm 13

1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David.
How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?
2 How long must I take counsel in my soul and have sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?
3 Consider and answer me, O LORD my God; light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death,
4 lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed over him,” lest my foes rejoice because I am shaken.
5 But I have trusted in your steadfast love;
my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
6 I will sing to the LORD, because he has dealt bountifully with me.

 - David thought the LORD forgot him, or was hiding from him, for him this time seemed long. He's having to trust his own counsel and he was experiencing grief, anguish, and sorrow.

Acts 17:27 ESV — that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, - "not far from each one of us,"

- Does it feel like GOD is a million miles away?
Do your prayers bounce off the ceiling?
  Are you spiritually numb inside?

- Verse five and six ends with David trusting in GOD's steadfast love and like David during times like these we can rejoice in his salvation. It caused David to sing, how about you?

- let's take a minute and make a certain  snake squirm. Job went through a rough patch (a huge understatement). I believe GOD revealed a ot to us in Job's story of what happens behind the scenes. I truly believe Job was an enticing distraction for the enemy of our souls, while GOD was working a plan elsewhere.

- To the enemy of our souls, ...oh I know your watching. Who are you hunting now? attacking now? Whispering to now? Ask yourself this question are you losing at the shell game yet again? Tic tok Mr. Devil you didn't see the Messiah's plans, you dropped the ball with Job and your list of failures are monumental. How bout's you just give up?

My prayer for the one who is experiencing "alone", that you come to know that you never were -  "GOD is not far from each one of us"
