Signs in heaven.

Psalm 19

1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David.

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.

2 Day to day pours out speech,

and night to night reveals knowledge.

3 There is no speech, nor are there words,

whose voice is not heard.

4Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,

5 which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.

6 Its rising is from the end of the heavens,

and its circuit to the end of them, and there is nothing hidden from its heat.

7 The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple;

8 the precepts of the LORD are right,

rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes;

9 the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the LORD are true,

and righteous altogether.

10 More to be desired are they than gold,

even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.

11 Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.

12 Who can discern his errors? Declare me innocent from hidden faults.

13 Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me!

Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression.

14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.

Verse 1 -The heavens are talking up a storm...

Judgements 

A new one for the weather network.

- Genesis 19:24 ESV — Then the LORD rained on Sodom and Gomorrah sulfur and fire from the LORD out of heaven.

There's only 24 hours in a day...right?

- Joshua 10:13 — And the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, until the nation took vengeance on their enemies. Is this not written in the Book of Jashar? The sun stopped in the midst of heaven and did not hurry to set for about a whole day.

- Joshua 10:14 — There has been no day like it before or since, when the LORD heeded the voice of a man, for the LORD fought for Israel.

GOD doesn’t care if your woods wet.

- 1 Kings 18:38 ESV — Then the fire of the LORD fell and consumed the burnt offering and the wood and the stones and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.

The captain was smoking hot!

- 2 Kings 1:10 — But Elijah answered the captain of fifty, “If I am a man of God, let fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty.” Then fire came down from heaven and consumed him and his fifty.

- 2 Kings 20: 9- 11 Coming up short on shadows.

- Isaiah 60: 1-3 and Matt 2: 1-2 - The wisemen that didn't belong to a service club.

- Luke 10:18 - the satan given the boot.

- Matt 27:45 and Mark 15:33 - darkness 

- Revelation 12: 1-5  John's great sign.

Their voice goes out through all the earth,

and their words to the end of the world.

The heavens have alot to say.

Verse 7 - GOD's law is perfect, Adam's kids not so much, but the second Adam lived it perfectly for you and me.

Verse 8 - GOD's precepts and commandments make your heart glad and improve your vision.

Verse 9 - GODly fear(repect, reverence, and piety) and decrees last forever.

Verse 10 -All of these are better than gold, honey, and drippings of the honeycomb.

As of August 10, 2025, the price of gold was $3,378.55 per troy ounce. GOD paved his streets in heaven with the stuff, it belongs underfoot, but GOD's word belongs in our hearts.

Verse 11 David considered himself warned and they are of great reward. We are warned that we can't possibly keep GOD's laws and decrees, so we desperately need a savior. We are rewarded because Jesus keep them all and his righteousness is now ours.

VERSE 13 Be watchful of presumptuous sins; that they don't have dominion over you. 

Last Verse 14 which is also my ending prayer - "Let the words of our mouths and the meditation of our hearts be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, our rock and redeemer."

Let the heavens talk your ear off and may the word in your mouth and on your heart be his.
