Fear Eraser
Psalm 36
1 To the choirmaster. Of David, the servant of the LORD. Transgression speaks to the wicked deep in his heart; there is no fear of God before his eyes.
2 For he flatters himself in his own eyes that his iniquity cannot be found out and hated.
3 The words of his mouth are trouble and deceit; he has ceased to act wisely and do good.
4 He plots trouble while on his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he does not reject evil.
5 Your steadfast love, O LORD, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.
6 Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgments are like the great deep;
man and beast you save, O LORD.
7 How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
8 They feast on the abundance of your house, and you give them drink from the river of your delights.
9 For with you is the fountain of life; in your light do we see light.
10 Oh, continue your steadfast love to those who know you, and your righteousness to the upright of heart!
11 Let not the foot of arrogance come upon me, nor the hand of the wicked drive me away.
12 There the evildoers lie fallen; they are thrust down, unable to rise.
Thoughts:
Verse one, we are all suffering from a heart problem and Christ Jesus is the only cure.
Rebellion speaks to our hearts because our very nature is a reflection of our first parents.
Jeremiah 17:9 ESV — The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?
When there is no fear (Respect) of GOD in our eyes, we've exchanged the fear of GOD for lesser things.

There's apparently no fear / Phobias of lists so sorry, not sorry if you read them all. Remember 1 John 4:18 ESV — There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.
- His words are trouble and deceit, we deceive ourselves and the things we should hate we cling to like a badge of honor. We self identify instead of GOD identity and are made to see evil as good and good as evil, believing the Devil's original lie, “Did God actually say,...?" Adam and the Woman's actions teased it out, actions = No. They made GOD out to be the Liar and the Father of Lies the truth teller, how topsy turvey is that? In trying to obtain Wisdom and Good apart from GOD we've have obtained the second part of verse three - "...he has ceased to act wisely and do good."
- verse four, instead of sleeping / resting he's/ she's planning "wickedness" because apart from GOD's will and council it is not good and nothing, but trouble.
James 4:2 tell us - You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask.
And
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.”
16As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin. James 4:13-17
- look at the end of verse four "...he does not reject evil." and right on the heals of that the Psalmist reminds us of GOD's steadfast love and how far it reaches. Yes rebellion is a problem and evil is a problem, but GOD's love has surpassed and defeated both. It will become blindingly evident in the New Heavens and the New earth.
- see verse six who does the LORD save?
"...man and beast you save, O LORD."
Despite our evil an despite the curse GOD still wants to save us.
- verses 7 to 9 inspite our evil, our heart, GOD wants to protect us and our children - "The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings." He wants to feed us and give us living water - "feast on the abundance of your house, and you give them drink from the river of your delights. For with you is the fountain of life" and he wants to bring light into our darkness.
- David ends his Psalm asking the LORD to remember and continue his steadfast love, but it's us that need this reminder and those with an upright heart are those who GOD has given a heart transplant. See Ezekiel 11:19 ESV — And I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh.
- Verse eleven the Devil and all that our his tries to stomp us in pride and wickedness tries to shake us, but GOD's word (Jesus) tells us in Psalm 16:8 — I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.
- verse twelve the "there" place is the place created for the Devil and his messangers.
Matthew 25:41 ESV — “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
"There" they will be thrust down and unable to rise.
My prayer is you would see daily that in Christ and with the Holy Spirit's help, nothing can keep a GOoD man (woman) down, but GOD will sink a serpent and submerge his spirits.
