Signed, Sealed, and delivered to the bottom of a river.

WOE! Number 2

There are three Woes in the book of Revelation. People that are concered about the second Woe happening soon should be informed and prepared. Regardless of droughts and low water levels don’t go getting "a Woe" ahead of schedule. If the fifth angel hasn’t performed his solo yet don’t expect the sixth one to jump the queue.

Let's take a look in Old Testament first.

Jeremiah 51:44 And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and take out of his mouth what he has swallowed. The nations shall no longer flow to him; the wall of Babylon has fallen.

The Eupharates river is located in Iraq running alongside the old city of Babylon. (See older pictures below)

Some helpful questions:

Who is Bel?

Who were the deities/gods, principalities and powers of Babylon?

Are some of them cooling their heels in the river at this moment?

Bel - aka Marduk, also known as Baal. The names thing seems to be a familiar thread, 🤔
‘the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world.’ Rev 12:part of verse 9

and other deities of Babylon were -
Anu, Enki/Ea, Nabu, and Nergal

Bel (derived from the Akkadian bēlu, meaning "lord" or "master") was the title given to the chief deity of the Babylonian pantheon, primarily identified with Baal\Marduk. He was part of the supreme triad of Mesopotamian gods, which also included Anu (god of the sky/heavens) and Enki/Ea (god of water, wisdom, and the earth/abyss).
Nabu as his son and scribe, and Nergal as the god of war and the underworld.

Notice again in the Jeremiah 51:44 passage -
I will punish Bel in Babylon, and take out of his mouth what he has swallowed. The nations shall no longer flow to him; the wall of Babylon has fallen.

The Devil is always trying to establish his counterfeit, The nations were flowing to him. In Isaiah 2:2 we read what the true flow will look like - It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills; and all the nations shall flow to it.

What had Bel swallowed?
In Revelation 16:12-14 we see that the Anti-Christ, the False prophet, and the image of the Anit-christ all had something come out of their mouths too. - The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, to prepare the way for the kings from the east. And I saw, coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs. For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty.

The judgment, signed, sealed, and delivered to the bottom of the river.

Jeremiah 51:60-64 reads - Jeremiah wrote in a book all the disaster that should come upon Babylon, all these words that are written concerning Babylon. And Jeremiah said to Seraiah: “When you come to Babylon, see that you read all these words, and say, ‘O Lord, you have said concerning this place that you will cut it off, so that nothing shall dwell in it, neither man nor beast, and it shall be desolate forever.’ When you finish reading this book, tie a stone to it and cast it into the midst of the Euphrates, and say, ‘Thus shall Babylon sink, to rise no more, because of the disaster that I am bringing upon her, and they shall become exhausted.’

Did you notice where the book holding the judgement went? Tied, with a weight on it, to the bottom of the Euphrates.

We Know that GOD punished Babylon and he said in his word that he would punish Bel, who is also known as Marduk and Baal. I’m going to go out on a limb and say this is either the Devil or one of his chief rebels. Also interestingly enough we know that there are four angels who have been bound at the great river Euphrates. Could these possibly be Anu, Enki/Ea, Nabu, and Nergal? Most likely not their real names, but the names nevertheless they used in Ancient Babylon. When they are released from the river they are going on a killing spree and any son or daughter of Adam will be fair game. They have been chained for approximately 2,564 years and to say they might be a little mad, crazy, or both could be an understatement. Although to be honest since they originally thought they could rebel against GOD automatically sticks them in the incredibly crazy camp.

Revelation 9:13-19 - Then the sixth angel blew his trumpet, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar before God, saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour, the day, the month, and the year, were released to kill a third of mankind. The number of mounted troops was twice ten thousand times ten thousand; I heard their number. And this is how I saw the horses in my vision and those who rode them: they wore breastplates the color of fire and of sapphire[c] and of sulfur, and the heads of the horses were like lions' heads, and fire and smoke and sulfur came out of their mouths. By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed, by the fire and smoke and sulfur coming out of their mouths. For the power of the horses is in their mouths and in their tails, for their tails are like serpents with heads, and by means of them they wound.

As of 2026 the current world population sits around 8.3 billion, so if we take the third meaning as a literal number, today that's about 2.5 billion people.

The ancient city of Babylon was situated directly on the banks of the Euphrates River, specifically straddling the Hillah branch of the river.

The Hilla branch (also known as the Hilla Canal) of the Euphrates River flows through Al Hillah (Hilla), the capital of Babil Province in central Iraq. Located approximately 100 km (62 mi) south of Baghdad, this canal branches off from the main Euphrates River to provide irrigation water for the surrounding agricultural region. The river runs through the middle of the city of Al Hillah, which sits adjacent to the ancient city of Babylon.

The end result, the nuts and bolts of this foray into Jeremiah and Revelation. It means being anywhere near where these four angels are imprisoned when they are released is going to be catastrophic. Here is some GOoD disaster preparedness advice, accept GOD’s free gift of salvation today - Romans 10:9 -because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Once you are saved and filled with the Spirit of Jesus, it won’t matter how many mad, crazy Angels or Demons are loosed.

They were scared of him before, see Jude 6 - And the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment of the great day.

They were scared of him when he was a man walking among us see Mark 1:23-24 - And immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God.”

They are terrified of him now because they know their final destination. See Matthew 25:41 - “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

My prayer - is that the only Woe! you experience is the Woe that you know that GOD loves you so much he sent his son to die in your place and you are safe and secure in his hands. We can echo Paul - For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8:38-39

NOTHING can separate us, so abide in Christ and his peace even beside that area of the Euphrates river.
