Psalm 72

1 Of Solomon.
Give the king your justice, O God,
and your righteousness to the royal son!
2 May he judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice!
3 Let the mountains bear prosperity for the people, and the hills, in righteousness!
4 May he defend the cause of the poor of the people, give deliverance to the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor!
5 May they fear you while the sun endures,
and as long as the moon, throughout all generations!
6 May he be like rain that falls on the mown grass, like showers that water the earth!
7 In his days may the righteous flourish, and peace abound, till the moon be no more!
8 May he have dominion from sea to sea,
and from the River to the ends of the earth!
9 May desert tribes bow down before him, and his enemies lick the dust!
10 May the kings of Tarshish and of the coastlands render him tribute; may the kings of Sheba and Seba bring gifts!
11 May all kings fall down before him, all nations serve him!
12 For he delivers the needy when he calls, the poor and him who has no helper.
13 He has pity on the weak and the needy, and saves the lives of the needy.
14 From oppression and violence he redeems their life, and precious is their blood in his sight.
15 Long may he live; may gold of Sheba be given to him! May prayer be made for him continually, and blessings invoked for him all the day!
16 May there be abundance of grain in the land; on the tops of the mountains may it wave; may its fruit be like Lebanon; and may people blossom in the cities like the grass of the field!
17 May his name endure forever, his fame continue as long as the sun! May people be blessed in him, all nations call him blessed!
18 Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who alone does wondrous things.
19 Blessed be his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory!
Amen and Amen!
20 The prayers of David, the son of Jesse, are ended.

Thoughts on David's prayer.

This Psalm is a father’s prayer for his son, who would be the future King of Israel, Solomon. It's also a prophetic prayer and description of our one true World Leader, Jesus Christ a descendant (a son) of David. David's hope and prayer that his son would a leader that would lead like GOD would if he were on earth. This prayer will be fully realized and answered when Jesus returns and sits on his throne. Ruling and joining heaven and earth into one kingdom and reinstating the orginal Edenic vision.

This is what a true World leader looks like.

The KING will have GOD's:
- justice

- righteousness

- defend the poor

- deliver the children of the needy

- crush the oppressor
🤔 feeling a little squeezed yet Mr. Devil?

- he will teach teach the fear (respect) for GOD

- he will be like a refreshing rain

- he will cause righteousness and peace to abound.

- he will have Dominion over all the earth (Genesis 1:28)

- he will have dominion over even the desert places that were formly strongholds of the enemy.

- kings of the earth will bring him tribute, bow down before him, and serve him.

- This prophetic is found in 1 Kings 10:10 concerning the Queen of Sheba.

- he counts the blood of the oppressed as precious.

- people will pray for him and to him, and he shall be continually blessed.

- He will restore the Edenic vision, grain and fruit from mountain tops to valleys.

- His name will endure throughout eternity, people and nations will be blessed through him and will call him blessed.

- GOD alone will acomplish all this and his name will be blessed forever, the name, the Shem, the LORD Jesus Christ. The earth will indeed be full of his glory.

- Amen and Amem.

The prayers of David ended on paper, but his conversations continue in heaven and eventually here on earth and finally throughout eternity because he loves talking to GOD and telling people about GOD.

How about you? (and me) Are we talking with GOD and telling others about him?

Are you praying for your leaders?
1 Timothy 2:1-3
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior,

Paul didn't ask if you liked your leaders, he said pray for them because it pleased GOD.

My prayer, thank you LORD you are the only one true World Leader we need so desperately, come and reign LORD Jesus, amen.
