He Who Laughs Last...

The Problem of Evil

The Problem of Evil

Psalm 10

13 Why does the wicked renounce God
and say in his heart, “You will not call to account”?

14 But you do see, for you note mischief and vexation, that you may take it into your hands; to you the helpless commits himself; you have been the helper of the fatherless.

Read all of Psalm 10, even David struggled with the problem of evil, I struggle with it, as I'm sure you do too.

- in Revelation 20:12 it reads - And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done.

- GOD is doing alot more than taking notes, he's got a book. (Verse 14)

- Recently I read a book documenting NDA's near death experiences. Most of these people were clinically dead, there was nothing near about it, they died. Some of them reported meeting a being of pure light and love and one of the questions asked by that being was, "What have you done with the life I've given you?" Guess what? He already knows, 'judged according to what they had done.'

My prayer for you and me, is found in Peter's letter -1 Peter 3:9 ESV — Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing. Amen?

It's not an easy thing to do considering the very nature of evil, but remember neither was the cross and Jesus endured it for you and me. We now have the Holy Spirit to help us endure.

What have you done with the life I've given you?" Have you loved well?
